Enclosed please find the the final payment of my client’s account, and please consider this matter officially closed out. My apologies to you for the lateness of this payment on my client’s account! I got tied up with things her, and, as the year comes to a close, it just got away from me.
I wanted to fill you in on the outcome of the case: my clients settled for ninety-five thousand dollars. It was, as you know, far below the amount that they had in mind. I’ll never know whether, had we negotiated harder, we might have gotten more, but my clients hadn’t the will to press any further. So, it came out to be a no-win for them, inasmuch as they got their attorney’s and expert’s fees paid for, but not the cost of the repairs that they still need to make on the house.
In any event, it was an education for me, and I want to personally thank you very much for all that you did for my clients, and for me.
